Summarize my work habits from recent sessions

You re-explain your preferences and principles every time: have the agent distill them from your session history and show you a draft first.

When to use it After you've been using an agent for a while

What you get

A draft of your work habits with sources; it goes into your personal memory file only after you approve it.

Before you start

  • The agent can read your recent session history
  • You know where your personal memory file lives (for Claude Code, ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md)

Steps

  1. Filter out keys, accounts and other people's information first
  2. Extract only work-related habits and trade-offs
  3. Note the evidence and how often each one appears
  4. You review the draft and approve before anything is written

Deliverables

  • Work habits draft
  • Source for each conclusion

Done when

  • No guesses about personality
  • No keys or other people's information
  • Every point traces back to a specific session
  • You approved it before it was written

Paste this into your agent

Read my recent session history and summarize my work habits and preferences: how I trade off speed against quality, what you must ask me before doing, what you shouldn't decide on your own, and what I often correct you on. Keep it to work only; don't speculate about my personality. First strip any keys, accounts and other people's information from the history. Give the evidence for each point and mark whether it appeared "multiple times" or "only once". Show me the draft first, and once I approve it, write it to my personal memory file (for Claude Code, ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md), not into the project repo. Stop after writing the draft.
